7 Popular Non-Surgical Anti-Aging Treatments in 2020

There are imperfections we all see in the mirror we wish we could diminish or eliminate. You probably realize there is an array of solutions for signs of aging like wrinkles, lines and sagging skin. And now, there are several solutions that can help with facial slimming.

Addressing a Double Chin

If you look in the mirror and see stubborn fat under your chin, called submental fat or a double chin, you know why it’s earned its notorious reputation for being diet and exercise-resistant. There is a permanent solution available that does not require the risk, expense or downtime of an invasive procedure, and it’s called Kybella.

How Does Kybella Work?

Kybella is an injectable made of deoxycholic acid, a naturally produced substance that aids in the breakdown of dietary fat. When we decide Kybella is the right solution for your stubborn double chin, we make a series of injections in the targeted area. The acid attaches to the fat cells and breaks down the cell walls. Once the fat cell walls are destroyed, the fat is naturally metabolized by the body.

Once fat cells are eliminated, that’s it – they’re gone for good. Some clients may see the results they want after just one to two treatments, but most clients will require several treatments, spaced four to six weeks apart. Six weeks is about the amount of time it takes to see optimal results, so now is the perfect time to receive your next treatment.

While fat cells are permanently destroyed, it’s important to keep a healthy and stable weight. Those cells won’t come back, but surrounding cells could enlarge, bringing bulk back to the area with a weight gain of more than 15-20 pounds.

Addressing Facial Heaviness

Over time, many of us can develop a heaviness throughout our jawline, beginning near our temples and extending down through our chin area. This is caused by our muscles becoming overdeveloped and looking bulky, or genetics, which could throw off the proportions of our faces.

There was a time where the only solution to this was to just deal with it, or a surgical procedure that could reposition underlying muscle or fat deposits to the upper areas of our face to even out our appearance. At NWME Aesthetics, we help our clients in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with Botox assisted facial slimming.

How Does Botox Work?

Botox is an FDA-approved purified protein injectable belonging to the neuromodulator family. When injected into certain muscles, Botox disrupts the signal between the nerve and the muscle. This disruption prevents or reduces the movement of muscles, allowing them to relax. Usually, this means decreasing wrinkles in the skin above those muscles smooth out. The result is a much younger-looking appearance.

For facial slimming, Botox/Xeomin/Dysport may helps certain muscles lose their bulkiness. Over time, the result is a natural appearing slimming of the lower face and evening of facial proportions. Clients maintain a full range of motion and abilities, but the bulkiness of these muscles softens.

Botox results can last up to four months or longer in this area, since it typically requires more units in this larger muscle area. We’ll work with each client to develop the right follow up schedule so they can enjoy seamless results.

Why Wait for the Results You Want?

If you’re in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area and struggling with unwanted facial fullness, you don’t have to put off the kinds of results you want any longer. Come see us to see if you are a good candidate for this procedure. At NWME Aesthetics, we serve both the Fort Worth and Dallas, TX areas will a full menu of solutions for all your aesthetic needs.
